Plain English summary: DockSync uses the small number of cookies needed to keep you signed in and run the platform. Anything beyond that is optional and asks first — say no and nothing changes about how the product works. We don't sell your data, and your booking and operational data is never used for advertising. 1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. Cookies let a site remember things between page loads and between visits — that you're signed in, which calendar view you last used, or that you've already answered a question about cookies.
Some cookies are strictly necessary: without them the service doesn't function at all. Others are optional, used for measurement or advertising. Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), strictly necessary cookies don't require consent. Everything else does, and must stay switched off until you say otherwise.
2. Our approach
DockSync is a paid B2B platform, not an advertising business. Our revenue comes from subscriptions, so we have no commercial reason to build behavioural profiles of the people who use the product.
In practice that means essential cookies only inside the application, and on this marketing website nothing optional is set until you've been asked.
Declining optional cookies has no effect on the platform. Every feature — bookings, supplier self-booking, QR check-in, SMS, reporting, CSV export — works identically either way.

If you decline analytics, Google Analytics still runs in a cookieless mode that reports anonymous aggregated totals with no identifier stored on your device and no tracking between visits.
4. Advertising and analytics
4.1 Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 on this marketing website to understand which pages are useful and where visitors come from. It is not used inside the application, and it is never connected to your account, bookings or supplier records.
4.2 LinkedIn Insight Tag
We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag on this marketing website to measure whether our LinkedIn advertising leads to trial sign-ups, and to build remarketing audiences on LinkedIn.
This is not enabled by default. It activates only if you accept advertising cookies. If you decline, the tag is never loaded and no LinkedIn cookies are set.
The Insight Tag is not present in the DockSync application at app.docksync.app. Your booking data, supplier data and operational data are never used for advertising, and are never shared with LinkedIn or any other advertising platform.
You can review how LinkedIn handles this data in the LinkedIn Privacy Policy, and opt out of LinkedIn advertising in your LinkedIn account settings.
5. Cookies in the application
When you sign in at app.docksync.app, cookies are used to run your session. The application is built on Bubble.io, which sets the following:

Blocking essential cookies will prevent you signing in to DockSync. Suppliers and carriers using a booking link don't need an account, and no advertising cookies are set on the supplier booking flow or the QR driver check-in flow.
Note for warehouse customers: where DockSync acts as processor for data your suppliers and drivers enter, cookie use inside the application is limited to the essential and functional cookies above. If your compliance team needs this in writing for a supplier assessment, email privacy@docksync.app and we'll provide it.
6. Third-party services
Some actions take place on another company's platform rather than ours. Those providers set their own cookies under their own policies:
- Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention at subscription checkout. See Stripe's privacy policy
- Bubble.io — the infrastructure the application runs on, responsible for the session and authentication cookies in section 5
- Google — Analytics on the marketing website, and Google Fonts, which sets no cookies but does receive your IP address as part of serving the typefaces
- LinkedIn — advertising measurement, only where you have accepted advertising cookies. See section 4
Each processor is bound by a Data Processing Agreement. The full list, including what data each receives and where it is held, is in section 6 of our Privacy Policy.
7. Managing cookies
7.1 On this site
You can review or change your choice at any time: . The same control sits in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent is exactly as straightforward as giving it — that's a requirement, not a courtesy.
7.2 In your browser
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
- Safari (Mac): Safari → Settings → Privacy → Block all cookies
- Safari (iOS): Settings → Safari → Block All Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
Clearing your cookies removes the saved preference, so you'll be asked again on your next visit. Blocking all cookies will stop you being able to sign in to the application.
8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers and extensions send an automatic opt-out signal, either the older Do Not Track header or the newer Global Privacy Control. We respect both. Where either signal is present, optional cookies stay switched off and you won't be shown a consent prompt at all.
You can still enable analytics deliberately through the cookie settings control if you want to — a browser-level signal is treated as a refusal, not as a permanent lock.
9. How long we keep your consent
Your choice is stored for six months, then we ask again. Consent that's assumed indefinitely isn't really consent, and browsers, tools and third parties all change over that kind of timescale.
We also reset consent whenever the categories or the third parties behind them change materially, so you're asked afresh rather than carried over on an answer you gave about something different.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we use cookies we'll update this page and the date at the top. Material changes — adding a category, or adding a new third-party service — will also invalidate existing consent so you're asked again.
